If you have never had a hangover (from whatever source of excessive behavior) then nothing that follows will likely make sense.
That said, the rest of us (including the purists) determine our present circumstances. Not our past. The past is the proverbial spilt milk over which we have no control. And not the future over which we also hold no control.
We have only this present moment and salvation (without getting too far afield) rests within each of us in the nano-second of our thoughts, behaviors and communications.
The path forward is not as complex and convoluted as we are encouraged to believe. Using the hangover metaphor, the hair of the dog remedy is but yet another sleight of hand to distract our spirit and soul from its primary attention.
Hopefully, you will read this as no political treatise but rather as the prelude to ‘Emergent Human Manifesto™’ – a collaboration of thought leaders on the way forward.
The intention of this post is to initiate a conversation around some thoughts I was impressed with in reading Jim Clayton’s recent book, The Coming Jobs War.
I can’t ever remember suggesting this approach, but for those that will begin with Chapter 12 (the last chapter) and the Conclusion. If that clarity and refinement of questions resonates be sure to go back to the beginning. The facts disclosed about the global socio-economic profile (unknown by most of us) and the impacts on each of us over the next three decades are profound.
This is all about entrepreneurial leadership and innovation at perhaps Planet Earth’s greatest juncture in human decision making history.
